My second daughter, Grace, adds her voice and presence to this song about the tendency to talk more than we listen, especially in these polarized (and polarizing) times. Prompted by a suggestion from another songwriter to write something relating to the January shooting of Rep. Giffords and others in Arizona, the song was finished on February 17 and (finally) recorded on March 22, 2011.
